Wind howls ceaselessly. This creates a turned in body stance. I am protecting myself from the cold chill of the wind. I peer out of my closed in stance, long enough to receive a cold northern gust. Peering out, I notice I am not alone. Everyone else I see is also doing the self-protection dance. Shoulders rounded forward, head lowered, eyes cast down onto the ground.
Winter has set in. Mother earth, up to her mischief forces us, to turn away from the cold, and indirectly has turned us away from each other. We need to stay warm in the storm, and look away, losing possibilities to gaze into each other's eyes, and share warmth from a smile. We are all participants in this subtle irony.
We need each other now more than ever. As a burning woodstove to the weary returning from a work day, as a touch of love to warm our hearts, from the inside out.
Even if it has been an eternity, we will learn to both give and receive the one sustanence that one doesn't need to go to school to learn.
Like riding a bicycle, once experienced, the wisdom from the gift once received comes back many times over.
Blessings are really Be-ing lessons! Or, be-ing-less-lessons!
The more one focuses on another, the less one's attention is on oneself, the greater and richer the blessing! So, let this be a lesson for us all.
As Mother Theresa said, "The problem with the world is that we draw the circle of family far too small." Let us reach out, hold hands, and encircle the planet, united in a common love of our mother earth. Let us revere her, respect her, sing songs, dance dances in honor of her. She breathes the good green hope of the future, as we cooperate with her growing pains, her joys, and transformations. Not giving up, we too, are able to transform, growing, shining towards the light. As light filled beings we pray a silent profound prayer.
One that is heard amidst the unceasing wind. A prayer to silence the dark negative energies.
As a swirling matrix of positive light, we shine from every corner of the world.
Wake up World! Let us embrace our vision, and "Be the change we all seek." *
