"the world is a fire with a burning serpent" Kushal Poddar
we live in a world which burns itself out
no rain to refresh the scraped dirt, the dust
rising recklessly turning up in noses, eyes, ears
the heat and dust, swirling curling fire
as we lift weights, kundalini dances
the wisdom within the charred years
burning serpent unwinds her figure eighted
spineless body up the chakra's tears
waking the sleeping beauty, singly coiled
at the armed base of spine
the world spins, as brush fires move
unimpeded, the serpent grooves
a battle won from the inside:
fiery passion, in red flame
never again shy, no blame-
does not, cannot hide
