Earthquake in Haiti
Points it's finger at
All of us:
Taking creature comforts for granted,
Living in a wasteland of things,
At the cost of losing human values.
We, as a collective culture,
A single unit of consciousness,
Have lost the delicate thread
of our origins,
and our soul
purpose for being here.
Laughter, tears, growth, sighs
birth, death, dirges, lullabyes:
learn your true purpose,
and you will fly, you will fly.
Clueless, and rumaging round
Mountains, seashore and trails
Sitting in gratitude prayers,
Do what is humanly possible.
Once learned, through searching
Day and night, you will lose
Your reasons for anger, competition and greed.
There is now nothing left to blame.
A great garden of peace prevails
With your new-born respect
For yourself, and all other living things.
Life, as a magical journey glows
Brightly, from the inside out;
Freedom can only ring when
Peace has been anchored deep within.
AMEN,
Rosha Kate Lamberg
